About Us Here at Pur-Plesur

Pur-Plesur is a small hobby kennel owned and
operated by Greg & Tracy Bennett. We are the
proud owners, breeders, handlers, and trainers
of AKC/ASCA/UKC Champion Australian
Shepherds (since 1983). All dogs used in our
breeding program have been certified clear of
hip dysplasia (OFA'd) and eyes are certified
(CERF'D) yearly for hereditary eye defects. Our
puppies are born and raised in our home. They
are not moved out to a kennel or barn, etc. All
our dogs are house dogs and are raised that way.
All Pur-Plesur Aussie puppies are handled and
loved from the moment they are born. They are
socialized by the human and non-human members
of our family before going to their new homes.
We supply copies of all health clearances, OFA,
CERF, Parents Championship title Cert.,
pedigree, puppy data sheet, and such in the
puppy pack. Our Aussies are not just dogs, they
are a part of our family.
I have been around dogs all my life. Growing up
with Yorkshire Terriers, I had the wonderful
opportunity to begin my training career at the
age of 12. I trained several of our Yorkies in
agility and obedience for many years. Once I
graduated from high school I was able to land a
career in dog training. Later, I saved my money
and purchased my first Australian shepherd and
was absolutely hooked on the breed. After a
couple of months, I started dabbling in
conformation and was immediately hooked on
the sport. Tracy and Greg were kind enough to
send me Taylor and from then on I have been
handling professionally. I have been very
successful with breeds in several groups. Now I
am thankful to Tracy and Greg for taking me
under their wing and becoming partners. We will
be working together to breed some the top
Australian Shepherds & Border Collies anyone
has seen. I hope to work with those interested
in getting their next Aussie or Border Collie, as
well as, help with all of your handling needs.
